Dr. Vincent Lun, ND is a recognized educator and clinician in naturopathic medicine and functional neurology with a focus on neurodegeneration, chronic pain, mental health and human performance optimization. He utilizes multiple fields of science – from naturopathic medicine, functional neurology, functional medicine, laser therapy, manual therapy and clinical nutrition with lab work assessment.
Upon completion at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM), Dr. Lun attended the Carrick Institute in Clinical Neuroscience and Rehabilitation. Dr. Lun is a Fellow of the International Board of Functional Neurology (FIBFN), and one of only several naturopathic doctors in North America who have successfully screened for this level of additional training. The goal is to improve the outcomes for individuals suffering from pediatric anoxic brain injury, persistent post-concussion syndrome and Parkinson’s disease through complementary and integrative treatments and to support patients as a team with other healthcare clinicians. Through this collaborative effort can we treat and support patients about integrative neurology care.
The genesis of studying neurology came from his time at the Lawson Health Research Institute researching and developing a new novel non-invasive approach in quantifying brain blood flow with near-infrared spectroscopy for pediatric anoxic brain injury. This led to trying to understand the adapting diagnostic methodology and evolving treatment approaches in persistent post-concussion syndrome and warfighter brain injury within the US military and veteran community. Helping individuals with traumatic brain injury became the driving force in learning neurology to give them the absolute best care possible for recovery. It became the no-fail mission.
He is the lead author for the Naturopathic Physicians Licensing Exam Step 2 (NPLEX 2) board review textbook, training ND graduates from accredited naturopathic schools of North America (AANMC) to excel at the 3-day Clinical Exam, the last and most difficult phase of the 4-year Naturopathic Doctor Training Pipeline.
Dr. Lun possesses a heart for serving others from a Christ-centered perspective, and a steadfast determination to make a difference in finding an answer to the most difficult health problems.
